The internship in a nutshell

You will work closely with senior architects to:

1. Support the setup of Belfius’ enterprise architecture platform

• Configure and structure the EA tooling (LeanIX-based).
• Help define functional, security, and architectural requirements for the platform.
• Contribute to dashboards, reports, views, and governance processes.

2. Elaborate and refine the Belfius Architecture Metamodel

• Start from the standard LeanIX metamodel and participate in its customization.
• Formalize relationships between applications, data, processes, risks, capabilities, and technologies.
• Help align the metamodel with Belfius’ functional and security needs.
• Document decisions, principles, and architectural standards.

3. Contribute to architecture best practices

• Analyze how different domains (business, application, information, security, technology) interact.
• Participate in workshops, interviews, and collaboration sessions with experts.
• Support the team in improving data quality and consistency across the architecture repository.

We are looking for

• Student or recent graduate in computer science, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or similar.
• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn about banking & insurance processes, willingness to develop understanding of IT processes in large organisations.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Basic knowledge of architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate) is a plus, but not required.
• No prior LeanIX experience required - just curiosity and motivation.
