You translate the bank’s strategic credit policy into a technical implementation. By combining economic insights with data analysis and decision logic, you develop and optimize our automated decision systems (decision engines). These systems are widely used to improve and optimize various credit risk processes.

• Translate credit policy and business rules into robust logic via decision engines. You apply this to a broad and growing range of applications within credit risk management.
• Analyze large datasets to simulate the financial and operational impact of new risk strategies or adjusted decision rules.
• Research and implement new methods and data sources to further increase the degree of automation and precision of the credit and risk processes.
• Optimize the interaction between the functional business requirements on the one hand and the technical implementation on the other.
• Work closely in a collegial environment with risk managers, data scientists, and IT teams.
• Clearly explain the results and system logic to stakeholders and guide the technical implementation of recommendations.

• You are curious, analytically minded and think in systems and processes.
• You obtained a master’s degree in Business Engineering, (Business) Economics, a scientific discipline or another field with a strong affinity for IT and data.
• You understand the economic and banking context of lending, or you have a strong drive to quickly master the financial logic.
• You have an affinity with technology and are not intimidated by programming tools such as Python or SQL. You already master these at a professional level or are able to achieve this quickly.
• You are solution-oriented and excel at converting theoretical and business concepts into pragmatic, working code or decision logic.
• You can communicate clearly about complex concepts and form a smooth bridge between technical and non-technical profiles.
• You communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing.
• You score extra points if you meet the following conditions:
  • You have experience with modeling decision logic (e.g. DMN) or working with decision engines.
  • You already have knowledge of specific concepts within risk management or credit granting and are willing to further deepen this knowledge.
  • You have a thorough knowledge of Dutch and/or French (as working language).
  • You can work independently and have a sense of initiative, but you are also willing to work as part of a team on larger projects.
